If You Could See Me Now
I painted this self-portrait for the Monmouth County Teen Arts Festival 2010, which is a festival each March where teens throughout the county can enter artwork. Within my art class at Inspired Minds Art School, we were assigned to make a piece with 2 different textures. I chose to excentuate the background and the hair on the figure. We were also assigned to frame the piece without using a traditional frame. I chose to collage a frame with images and words that represent myself. Ophelia Drowns
After finishing the play Hamlet in my English class this year, we were assigned to create any kind of project we could think of based on the novel. I decided to paint the scene where Ophelia drowns, because I found it to be the most striking part of the play. Date: January 2010Medium: Oil and CollageDimensions: 11x14”

Place Less Traveled
I painted this for the Harvest Art Show at Inspired Minds Fine Art School. It was a show of “miniatures” which is why I used such a small canvas. Date: November 2009Medium: OilDimensions: 8x10”

I painted this in preparation for the Monmouth County Teen Arts Festival 2009. Though it was my first time entering into the festival, the judges chose my painting to advance to the state level! Unfortunately the state competition was never held, though. Date: Early 2009Medium: OilDimensions: 16x12”
